Saptalochani Tara is depicted with seven eyes two in the normal human position, one in the center of her forehead, 2 on the palms of the 2 hands and 2 on the sole of her foot. Thus she is referred saptalochini.
Sapta in Sanskrit stands for seven and lochan refers to eyes so she is called as goddesses with seven eyes.
As the embodiment of compassion, one can receive Punya (merit), prajan (wisdom), and sambirddhi (Prosperity).
Saptalochani displays her right hand in the gesture of giving Varadha her boundless generosity that ensures 8 siddhis (accomplishment) and supreme enlightenment.
Gracefully and serene her left-hand holds a blue lotus (Utpala) the symbol of protection from all terrors and evil.
Saptalochani Tara is known os for compassion, long life, healing and serenely.
It is believed that Saptalochani Taras sec=ven eyes will look equally to all genital beings and provide solace for their sufferings.
